Stewards of America's First Cathedral

"Your support of the Stewards of America's First Cathedral is a great blessing and I am humbled by the generosity that many of you have shown in the past. This historic and beautiful shrine is a landmark in the history of our Catholic Faith in America and continues to be an active parish in downtown Baltimore." -Msgr Arthur Valenzano

Your gift means everything to us!

In addition to attracting pilgrims and visitors from both near and far, the Basilica is an active parish. The daily costs to maintain, operate, promote, and staff the Basilica–which opens its doors 365 days a year–are extraordinary. However, because the Basilica is a small urban parish, its parishioners, with offertory gifts representing only 57% of the Basilica’s total operating budget, cannot shoulder maintaining America’s First Cathedral alone. Your gift helps bridge that gap.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

May his soul, and all of the souls of the faithful departed, rest in peace.
