“Do not be afraid. Do not be satisfied with mediocrity. Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” -Pope St. John Paul II
Our Men’s group is called “Lolek.” “Lolek” is a Polish word which means “free man.” Lolek was also the nickname of one of the greatest men of our generation(s)—Saint John Paul II. As Connor Sheehan said, “If you want to learn what it means to be a free man, look at the witness of St. John Paul II. He listened, he loved, and he showed men what it means to lay down one’s life for the beloved.”
This is precisely what we will aim to do—listen, love and lay down our lives for our beloved. Lolek is a group for men of all ages.
